HOW I WORK:
My approach is to start where you are, whether in immediate crisis, or dealing with longer term issues.
I use both practical interventions and deeper exploration to help you feel better and build self esteem.
Together we explore your history, your current life, and your strengths in order to create positive change. I love my work because I am able to use my experience, my training, and my heart to ease suffering and increase well-being. I feel privileged to sit with my clients.
My Background:
Prior to my own private practice, I worked at The Marina Counseling Center and the Family Service Agency of Marin. In previous phases of my life I have been an elementary school teacher, an educational therapist, a parent educator, a crisis line counselor, and a book and film critic. I received my MA at the Wright Institute in Berkeley, California and my BA at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. You can read more about my experience here.
